US stocks mixed, Greenback falls
FXStreet (Córdoba) - European markets finished mixed and Wall Street was following the same steps. Among country indexes, the FTSE 100 ended up 0.12%, the Dax lost 0.19% and the Cac 40 gained 0.04%. In the US, the Dow Jones was rising 0.07% while the Nasdaq was falling 0.01% and the S&P 500 was flat.
Among currencies the US dollar was falling across the board on Wednesday. During the last hours trimmed losses versus the Pound and the Yen. The Swiss Franc and the Loonie were the best performers.
Crude oil and gold were falling modestly, 0.25% and 0.09% respectively. The value of the ounce peaked at $1,287 but lost momentum and pulled back toward daily lows that lie around $1,280 while the barrel was holding above $93.50.
