Canada: Employment rises 59.2K in August

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Net employment in Canada grew by 59.2K in August, following the 39.4K drop registered the previous month, Statistics Canada reported today. Consensus pointed to a 20K increase only.

The unemployment rate was at 7.1%, down from 7.2% while the participation rate increased to 66.6% from 66.5%.
