EUR/USD bounces back to 1.3200

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The EUR/USD found support and bounced after hitting a 2-week low of 1.3161 in the wake of the latest string of US data, which offered further support to the greenback.

EUR/USD keeps coming back to 1.3200

However, USD fresh momentum was short-lived allowing EUR/USD to recoup ground and to rise back to about 1.3200 where it is trading at time of writing, still down 0.7% on the day, following an equal slump seen on Wednesday.

On the downside, immediate supports are seen at 1.3160 (daily low) and 1.3150 (21-day SMA), while on the upside, resistances could be found at 1.3225 (intraday level) and 1.3300 (daily high).

According to Macro Strategy Analysts J. Reid and C. Tan at Deutsche Bank, “If the Fed’s new revised economic forecasts are correct then over the medium-term there is not much to worry about them being more hawkish than expected last night.”
